Good bottle, cool shape, safe, but causes dribble mouth. This free sample was one that I was very excited to receive. There`s a sense of nostalgia with a glass bottle but more important there are no BPAs to worry about and glass offers the sanitation that every mom (and dad) is looking for.
When I received the bottle I was intrigued by it`s shape and the shape and size of the nipple. The bottle is tall yet wider than average and the rim of the nipple is wider than the bottle. I like the wide nipple because it`s good for nursing babies who receive the bottle intermittently and/or for babies who are transitioning to being solely bottle fed. The bottle was easy to assemble and clean.
I will say that when my daughter first started using it the flow, even though it`s the first nipple level, was too strong for her. It choked her up a bit and milk would drop everywhere. I went to the store to confirm that there wasn`t another step down. Eventually that became less of a problem but it`s still a bit messy.
After using the bottle for the first time the tight seal that I initially celebrated (for it`s potential of keeping bacteria out) quickly became a big headache because I couldn`t get the bottle open. The next time I used it I didn`t screw it as tight but when I went to shake it milk spilled out all over the place. I`m not sure that I have found a middle ground yet and it`s been four to five weeks.
The bottle isn`t as easy to clean as I anticipated but I think if I get a more bristle like and less sponge like bottle brush then I can fix that issue. I didn`t worry about putting it in the dishwasher or microwave for a steam cleaning since it`s glass and can handle the head. Another critique that I have is that the painted measurements could be a bit more tough, they`re rubbing off a little due to regular use and cleaning.
As far as travel goes, I like that the glass holds heat and transfers heat well. I'm not happy with the lid because it isn't spill proof.
Lastly, how does baby like it? She feeds well from this bottle with the exception of having a milk beard when she`s done and it`s a little to heavy for her to hold right now, but she`s trying and I don`t think it will be too long before she`s able to do so (hopefully!).

Couldn't get it to stop leakingI received a free sample of the 8 oz. glass baby bottle to try. The first thing I noticed about this bottle was the weigh of the bottle. Since it is glass compared to the common plastic it is heavier. I was worried that would be a problem when feeding my son, but it wasn't. The bottle was comfortable to hold. I had never tried a glass bottle before, so I was excited to see if it would be better than plastic bottles. I was extremely disappointed though. I have used Avent bottles before and never had a problem. This bottle leaked from the collar. The first time I tried it I assumed it was user error. So I switched to my regular bottle for that feeding. I tried the bottle again with just water to see where I went wrong. It didn't leak so I decided to try it again. At the next feeding I noticed it was leaking a bit from the collar again. I unscrewed the collar and examined it. The nipple looked like it was in properly so I tried again. It dripped the whole time. I really think it was user error but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I love Philips Avent products but it shouldn't be that hard to use a bottle. I'm not going to use it again.

I love this bottleThis bottle is really easy to clean. I also like the fact that my baby is not drinking out of plastic everyday, and I am not heating plastic up all the time.

No more choking issuesI received a free Phillips Avent natural 8oz Glass bottle in exchange for writing a honest review. I have a 3 month old baby and there were things that I liked and disliked about this product. I loved the fact that the nipple flow was more on the slower side of things. In the past I've had problems with other brands due to my child choking on her milk because the nipple flow was a lot more than she could handle. With this product they seem to have gotten the perfect in between. Not too fast and not too slow and the nipple was a size 2. I also liked the fact that the bottle warmed up a lot quicker than any of the plastic bottles we use at home. We heat up her bottles by sitting them in hot water until the bottle is room temp. Also the bottle looked very well made, the glass was nice and thick, and I didn't experience any leaking problems. My only issue with the bottle was that it seemed to make my daughter a tad bit more gassy vs other brands that I've tried. Not extremely gassy but enough to where I noticed a difference. Overall I really liked this bottle and will definitely continue to use it in the future.

First time using glass!I received a free sample of this Natural Glass bottle to review. I am a mother of two, and have used Avent bottles before, I have never used a glass bottle though. Glass always seems to be easier to keep clean and feel like you are not leaving anything behind on the bottle when done cleaning it. It also takes the same top and nipple as the plastic bottles, so you are able to switch them out if necessary. The glass bottle is heavier than the plastic. I would not recommend using a glass bottle when the child is old enough to hold the bottle on its own, as it could be a little heavy. My son is 4 months and just starting to hold bottles on his own, so I will be making sure to only give him the lighter of the two choices. I would not purchase the glass bottle if it is more expensive. I am not sure I saw that much of a difference from the plastic to justify spending more money on them. Additionally, I did not like the idea of if it was to drop on the floor, more than likely it would shatter. This would not be good if you have a crawler in your house. (I did not break mine, but one would assume with glass it is an option.)
The natural nipple was also given with this bottle. I did not see any difference with it verses the regular nipples. Honestly, looking at the natural nipple and the regular nipples I cannot tell them apart.
Overall, I will certainly use this glass bottle when I do not expect my baby to hold it on his own. I will also use it while I am at my house. I do not think I will use it outside of the house in fear I may drop it and break it. Also, I would not spend extra money on the natural nipple as I could not tell the difference between it and the regular one.

Phillips Avent Natural glass bottleI recently received Phillips Avent SCF673/17 NATURAL 8oz 1pk GLASS baby bottle for free to try out and review. my favorite feature is that the bottle is on the larger size where it can hold more for the baby to drink. The design of the nipple and lid is attractive and the flow of the level 2 nipple works well with no leaking. The size and shape of the bottle makes for easy holding and the numbers on the bottle makes for easy measuring. There are not alot of pieces to this bottle so it is very easy to assemble and clean. This product is made from quality materials and appears that it will hold up well. The only thing that I didn`t like is that the bottle is glass. I am afraid that I will break it, I`m not able to send it to Daycare because it`s glass. I would not feel comfortable allowing my baby to hold the bottle once he is able to in fear he may drop it. I would like to see it made of plastic and would definitely recommend it to others if it was made of plastic. Overall I think its a great product but would not purchase it only because it is made of glass.

Great designThe natural glass bottle is designed well. It fit perfectly in my hand. The detailed ridges provide a comfortable grip that is unmatched by other brands. The weight of the bottle shows that it is a high quality bottle. I do however, feel that it may be a tiny bit to heavy and bulky for my child to hold and drink from unassisted. The fact that the bottle is made of glass makes me confident that I and not giving my baby harmful chemicals. The availability of this product was not existent. None of the stores in my area sold them. One improvement I would suggest would be to slim the bottle down some so that smaller hands can hold it. I would definitely recommend this bottle to friend and family. It is stylish, BPA free and durable.

Easy to use and cleanI love the glass bottle versus the plastic bottle. It is so much healthier for baby and is quicker to warm up milk. The Avent glass bottle is wider than most making it easier to pour milk into and clean. I also like that there are not many parts to this bottle which makes cleaning that much easier. However, my daughter just didn't take to this bottle like I hoped she would. I should mention that I received a free sample of this bottle to review, but would still recommend it to other moms to try. Not every child likes every bottle, so although mine didn't care for this one I think many children would like it, as would moms!
