Philips Avent4-in-1 electric steam sterilizer

The Philips Avent 4-in-1 electric steam steriliser is absolutely amazing, I was previously using the Coldwater steriliser. However the tablets were damaging my hands, I suffer from eczema so I have to be careful with what comes into contact with my skin. The Philips steriliser requires no solution and no tablet just plain water and kills 99.9% of germs. The sterilisation takes only 6 mins whereas before I had to wait 15 mins before being able to use the bottles. I love the sleek design and it fits perfectly well in my kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

Good and easier to use. Convenience and peace of mind to use it with hygiene for baby. Con's is just that the heater get stain and cant be removed.

Works fast and useful as a convenient sterilizer for baby's stuff.. However, wire length is too short and base tray had small spots/stains just after the first use (without placing any items in the baskets)..

Initially this product worked great. After about 6 months, problems started to surface. 1) limescale build up. not a big problem as I just need to religiously clean the tray every week with white vinegar. 2) Water leakage at the base. This problem is driving me nuts as I need to soak up several towels each time I am done with sterilizing. Tried putting less than the indicated 100ml of water but the leakage still persists! The water is causing a huge stain on my table top... I am so frustrated with this problem and I hope Philips Avent had a solution to this!

Not functioning after using for 8 months. Had to sterelize the bottles manually. It was purchased at the expo, not sure how to get replacement/repair done under warranty as I have misplaced the receipt. Will need to look for other brand although all my baby stuff- bottles, milk warmer, food maker and blender are philip avent brand.

Product broke down twice within 1 month. Suspected due to design fault, power failure problem twice in 1 month after purchase.

This product worked fine for a few months afterwhich it started leaking water at the base! Even putting lesser amount of water doesn't work. I have to wipe my counter top after every use now! 2nd design flat is having to remove the whole base with the power cord to pour away excess water. Avent needs to think through the design.

Bought a new unit 3 months before my son born. Broke down the 2nd week we used - no power. Gotten a replacement unit from Singapore Philips Service Center. The replacement spoil on the next day of replacement (same issue). Complained to SG Customer Service and gotten another replacement unit. Same thing happened one month later! Totally unacceptable!

Due to this product keep on fail me. Having problem with no power. I have to keep on bring to service center for repair.

I already made an earlier review below. I'm making another review because the product has again stopped working for the 3rd time in 18 months! To recap, initially bought a new but started using only after 5 months (i.e. after my child was born). It broke down (1st time) on the 3rd month of use. Their service centre replaced it with another unit. However, the replacement unit also stopped working after 25 days (2nd time)! Now, 18 months after, the unit broke down again (3rd time)! I'm working on getting it replaced again. Very frustrating and disappointing. Buyers beware!
