The suction power of my Philips PowerPro Active is low

If your Philips PowerPro Active vacuum cleaner's suction power is low, there might be an easy solution. Discover how to improve its performance.

Possible causes

Perhaps the dust bucket is full or the lid of the dust container has not been placed correctly.

Reduced suction power can also be caused by a dirty filter or an object stuck in the nozzle, the tube or the hose.


Make sure that the lid of the dust container is placed correctly.

If this doesn't help, follow the steps below to restore the suction power of the vacuum cleaner:

  1. Empty the dust bucket and make sure that the foam filter and the blue HEPA filter are clean; The foam filter and the blue HEPA filter are both located in the dust bucket;
  2. Make sure that the exhaust filter is clean;
  3. Make sure that the hose, the tube and the nozzle are not blocked by any object;
