My Philips Rice Cooker undercooks rice/multigrain

If you notice that your Philips Rice Cooker undercooks rice/multigrain, please find possible causes and solutions below.

The rice/multigrain is undercooked:

  1. Insufficient water. Use the measuring cup (if provided) to measure the amount of rice.
  2. Please soak grains with hard shells in advance (red beans, black beans, Chinese pearl barley etc.).
  3. Before starting the rice cooker, ensure that there are no foreign objects outside the heating element or inside the cooker.
  4. The heating element is damaged, or the inner pan is deformed. Please bring your rice cooker to a Philips Service Centre or contact us for further assistance
