My Philips Wireless Spotlight Camera/Video Doorbell does not turn on

Published on 17 July 2024
If your Philips Wireless Video Doorbell or Philips Wireless Spotlight Camera is not activating to begin the pairing process, find possible causes and solutions in the article below.

Both devices work best with adapters that have an output of either DC 5 V 1.5A or DC 5 V 2A. This information is usually found on the charger itself. Try a different adapter to charge your device.
  • Check the Adapter Label: look for the output being DC 5 V 1.5A or DC 5 V 2A.
  • Higher Amperage is OK: Using an adapter with a higher amperage (e.g. 2.5 A or 3 A) is also safe and won't harm your device.
  • Adapter condition: make sure that the adapter you use is not damaged or broken.
To get the device in pairing mode, you must reset it. Press and hold the reset button until you hear a prompt.

If the device housing or the charging cable is damaged, do not use them and get in touch with customer support.
