How to install my Philips Wireless Spotlight Camera

In this article, you can find the video and instructions on how to install and mount your Philips Wireless Spotlight Camera. You can also find detailed instructions in the Quick Start Guide included in the box. 
 

Important information before getting started:

  • Please have your Wi-Fi network name and password at hand. 
  • Make sure that your mobile device is running IOS 15 or higher or Android 8 or higher. 
  • Only connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. (5 GHz network not supported). 

How to install and mount the wireless spotlight camera

Setup: 
  1. Download the Philips Home Safety app. 
  1. Open the rubber back cover to locate the charging port. 
  1. Option 1: connect to a power source with the charging cable. 
  1. Option 2: connect to the Philips Solar Panel HSP5810* for power. 
  1. Open the other part of the rubber cover to reveal the reset button and microSD card slot. 
  1. Pair the camera by following the steps in the app. To put the camera in pairing mode, press the Reset button for 5 seconds and wait for audio feedback. 
  1. (Optional) Insert a microSD card. 
*The Philips HSP5810 Solar Panel is sold separately. 
Mounting: 
  1. Fully charge the camera. You can see the battery status in the live feed in the app. 
  1. Use the drilling template to mark the fixing points. 
  1. We recommend a height of 2-3 metres above the ground. 
  1. Drill the holes and insert the anchors for hard surfaces. 
  1. Fit the bracket, securing it in place with the screws. 
  1. Attach the camera base by twisting it onto the bracket. 
  1. Screw the camera onto the base. 
Note: 
  • Avoid placing the camera near swaying trees. 
  • Avoid placing the camera in front of intense light sources such as direct sunlight or bright lamps. 
  • Avoid placing the camera near outlets, including those for air conditioners, humidifiers or projector heat vents. 
  • Choose a quiet location to conserve battery power and avoid crowded areas with excessive noise.
