The ice crushing function is amazing! Fall in love with home made smoothies made by this blender

[Employee of philipsglobal] most of my gadget at my kitchen came from Philips.... I've already have blender but when I buy and used this blender, I feel like.. WoW...... the taste from the smooties that I've made feel like better than you buy.. my current blender also can make the ice blender but the jar is Glass jar so I did not use always to make the ice blended. But with this model, I've not worried to use everyday to make smooties and ice blender as my kids also love it....

This is my second Philips blender as i have another blender which is Philips Daily collection HR2104 blender with ProBlend 4 blades. The experience with my 1st blender was good. When i got the chance to try this HR2157 blender, the experience was AMAZING! I have tried to make juices and smoothies with my 1st blender, it blend ice cubes well but it take quite some time to make sure it's totally smooth. Compared with this blender which comes with ProBlend 5 and large jug, it only takes less than 15 seconds for it to totally crush! By simply selecting the ice mode, it will works like magic compared with my 1st Philips blender experience which i have to select the most powerful mode to make smoothies. Annuar review? Totally recommended!! : )

The blender at first sight looks quite not convincing as it looks like an ordinary smoothies blender as it I clearly stated it is still using Triton Plastics as the jar for the blender. But the opinion soon changes as the the blender used truly surpass my expectation its blend the ice instantly when I hit the Pulse Ice Crusher Knob, its just great, I try making a Milo Chocolate smoothies, and the ice is finely blend with The UHT Milk to give me the right taste of the Smoothies that I want, The Speed of the Blender is just right with the ability to manually turn the knob to the right rotation speed we want, rather than only 1 or 2 speed mood. However, The Blender blade gasket worries me a bit, as the blender is just easy to clean, the gasket is just too thin, and I felt it will snap easily if precaution steps is not taken while washing it. I do hope Phillips will make replacements part possible. Overall I will rate the blender a score of 9/10 for overall performance,

As i open the box, first thing I thought the jar make from glass coz design look like a glass jar which i concern it litte bit heavy and need an extra care but thank goodness it not. Which I can see it very elegant design and black make me so happy. Anyway i do try a few day, i quite impressed with this blender are very easy to be separated the jar and blade,I try to blend a few smelly ingredient such as chili, onion and other, After the clean up it don't leave any smell and easy to clean up. Also, i can make a smoothie with it coz it can blend the ice without me to worries. :) .

I find this Philips Blender very easy to use, and there are various options of speed to select from. Using speed 2 only, It took less than a minute from the time the (First Try) cut dragon fruits and ice cubes or (Second Try) oranges, apples and honey jujube poured into the blender till the smooth and yummy fruit juice ready to be served. Very powerful and easy to use even without reading the user manual. Even the ice cubes are smashed until only the bubbles of water can be seen. A must have for those running late every morning to prepare smooth healthy drinks for the loved ones. Awesome blender suitable for all types of family!

Wow this is a fantastic blender! It has a wonderful ice function that easily breaks any ice down to the needed consistency for making smoothies,the jug is a nice heavy thick glass that you feel would be hard to break. Been using for few days and i can tell it is very good quality and powerful blender. With this blender, I can perform like a professional chef. I definitely will recommend this blender to my friends and relatives because good product really need to be share right?

When I first got this blender, what caught my eyes were the functions that were illustrated on the packaging box: A 600W blender with a 2-litre strong ‘Tritan’ jar and fast ice-crushing capabilities. As a university student with a packed weekly schedule, I often look for easy and fast ways to grab an on-the-go meal that is healthy and nutritious on a daily basis. My main expectation of this blender was to be able to make nutritious and restaurant-quality frozen smoothies in a fast and easy manner. To put this blender to test, the first smoothie I decided to make was an apple and banana frozen smoothie. Based on my experience, I will divide this review into two sections, which are the blender’s design and performance. The Design: What impressed me the most with the design of the blender was with how sturdy and durable it felt when I first unboxed it. The base has 4 suction cups that makes sure that the blender does not move when it being used. Another aspect of this blender was that the main control knob was made from a silicon material. This definitely was a great touch as I was more comfortable adjusting the knob with damp hands. The lid’s removable cap was noticeably wider than usual blenders, which made adding ingredients easier. Another great addition was measurement labels in cups and millilitres on the jar that made it easier to follow the recipe accurately. Overall, the blender’s design was beyond my expectation as it had such a modern feel to it and stood out in my kitchen. The best part was how easy it was to dismantle and wash the jar after using it. The Performance: As first, I was slightly sceptical of the blender’s ice-crushing function for a 600W blender but upon testing out this function, I was very satisfied with this feature as I was able to pulverise 1 cup of ice within three 5-second pulses. While the blender was crushing ice, small pieces of ice were hitting against the jar inner surface which somewhat made me worried of scratches to the jar. But as expected, there was not a single scratch to the inner surface of the jar which verified that the Tritan jar was definitely stronger than typical blenders. Aside from this, I was surprised with the power of the motor as it felt powerful and combined with the ProBlend 5 blades, the smoothies turned out to be silky smooth with virtually no chunks of unblended fruit. I really recommend this blender as it performed beyond my expectations and an excellent touch for modern-day kitchens!

Making a smoothie or a juice has never been easier. My first experience with the Philips Blender Problend 5 was a satisfying one. The 1.5 liter capacity jug allows me to be "greedy" by adding in many ingredients at a go. The powerful blades are able to blend all the ingredients in split seconds thus saving you time to blend many rounds. I have tried making a carrot mixed apple juice with the blender. I have also made 2 rounds of different smoothies with it. The blender has proven to be more than dutiful. The seeds of the dragon fruit have been blended even finer in order to make the dragon fruit smoothie incredibly smooth. The quick and easy washing of the blender makes me want to make even more smoothies. I am totally satisfied with this blender with only 2 downsides. One being the short cable whereas the other being the loud noise of the blender during operation. Despite of these, I would still give this blender two thumbs up. My mum was impressed with the blender too when she saw me using it.

I love this one so much. It comes with two parts. Big and small. I used the big part to make fruit juices. It turns out nicer than I thought it would. The smaller one, I used to grind seeds. This blender has a grip at the bottom so to prevent for moving to much, it helps. That is for sure. I just grind my own black pepper, it turned out perfect. After this, I can just grind my own coffee. Safer and Reliable. It's blades are sharp, so when I made fruit juices, there are no big chunks like my old blender. This blender is too smooth. It's much more quieter than my old blender. I am definitely recommending people to buy one of this. You won't regret it.
