How long does the Philips Avent fast bottle warmer take to heat milk or formula?

Published on 01 June 2023
The Philips Avent fast bottle warmer is designed to heat milk or formula to the proper drinkable temperature quickly. This is particularly useful for late-night feeding or when your little one doesn't want to wait.

See the tables below for guidance on how long it takes to heat milk or formula and some general guidelines.

Heating liquid milk

To use your Philips Avent fast bottle warmer, measure out the volume of milk to be heated and select the setting that corresponds to that volume.

The initial milk temperature affects the heating time. Choose the heating time from the column that best matches the temperature of your milk before heating.

Tips for using your Philips Avent fast bottle warmer

  • After heating, the milk may still feel cool to an adult. However, research suggests that most babies will accept milk that is cooler than body temperature.
  • The timings given above are guidelines only. The material and the water and milk temperature can all impact the warming time.
  • These guidelines are based on the Philips Avent Natural polypropylene bottle. Glass bottles may heat more quickly and silicone bottles may heat more slowly.
  • Always check the milk temperature before each feeding.
