This is a far better product than the 14 year old Philips shaver it replaced. It shaves closer and appears to actually to exfoliate as well. It can be cleaned in water. I assume you need to look at the website for instructions as the small booklet provided is spoare on instructions possible as it is trying to cover too many languages. This is my third Philips shaver and I doubt I will ever purchase another brand. Considering how long they last it was a very economical spend.

I need a shaver that gives me a close shaver tried other but no success but the Phillips shaver does what it says it will nice a close love this shaver

It's been since 1970s since I used electric shaver, a Remington, and up till now I've been using Gillette 5+1 blades, but with my 1st shave with phillips s9000 series 80% of my face was as good as the blade shave, 2nd and 3rd shave probably getting 90% of my face super smooth, so I know it's only the learning curve to achieve 100% so happy with my shaver

While it took about 4 weeks to get really get used to the Philips shaver, I am now totally satisfied that I can now have a shave as close as the razor I previously used. The flexibility of having wet or dry shaves has been excellent and believe the shaving experience is much better for my skin.
