The USB monitor uses special low-power LED backlight, allowing it to simply draw power from USB ports of your laptop. It consumes approximately 9 watts, resulting in approximately 50% lower power consumption than a equivalent standard monitor.

This product works as advertised!
This monitor is still going strong, very well made! Fantastic addition to my 17inch laptop. Comes in really handy when I need a larger screen for watching videos/movies or just as a second screen for more productivity.
Pros
Can be powered by just one of the 2 available USB cords. Huge portable screen. Screen adjustments better than many other 'normal' monitors. Base can be removed for easier portability.
Cons
Screen brightness could be higher/unable to adjust it even with a 3rd party 'gamma increaser' app.
