What sound quality to expect from my Philips headphones?

Published on 2017-08-24

Bluetooth music uses a different profile A2DP (See “What is a Bluetooth profile?“) with more bandwidth than used for Bluetooth voice communications, which delivers a sound quality comparable to many corded headphones. Since Bluetooth headsets are active, powered devices unlike corded headsets they can employ sound enhancement processors such as Philips FullSound, which will compensate the loss in quality experienced when listening to compressed music formats such as MP3 (See “What does FullSound Technology do on Philips headsets?“). While for audiophile use with high end audio systems in indoor environments high end Philips corded headphones remain a good choice, Philips Bluetooth stereo headsets with wireless Bluetooth sound quality will satisfy even demanding users for mobile music listening.
