4-in-1 multimedia remote is one remote that can replace the different remotes supplied with your TV, STB. AMP and your MediaCenter PC. The remote control has IR codes for most brands of these devices incorporated. The manual of the remote lists all the codes. When installing the remote, simply look up the code for your device & brand and put into the remote.
A universal IR code database refers to a library of infrared codes built-in to a particular remote. This feature allows a remote to control your equipment without needing to learn individual signals. Select the correct infrared code sets in the database for the devices you want to control, to enable control of virtually every audio/video system element on the market today – regardless of model or brand.
Easy media navigation refers to a remote that enables you to navigate through the content of your media files on your MediaCenter PC, as well as control of other audio/video devices. The infrared (IR) dongle supplied with the remote is connected to your MediaCenter PC. Via this dongle, the remote can control your MediaCenter PC, browse through files, select a file and play it on your equipment of choice.
A dedicated Microsoft Media Center green button is included on the remote, that gives access to dedicated Microsoft Media Center PC menu.
Learning functionality refers to the process through which a remote control captures and stores infrared signals from other remotes for later use. When device codes are not included in the on-board database, they can always be learned from the original remote, simply by pointing to it.
To play your favorite media files on your Microsoft Vista Media Center PC, the remote is equiped with the IR codes to be able to control your Vista PC, using the IR dongle supplied. Once you turn on the screen of your PC, and press the green button, the menu of your Vista PC will pop up. Now you can scroll through the content using your remote.
