Philips FidelioWireless surround cinema speakers

This is by far one of the best sound system for people that don’t want cable everywhere. It is super easy to set up, versatile so you can watch normal tv and one second after play a 4K movie with the surround system.

I read plenty of comments criticising the reliability of this surround sound kit but thought I'd take the risk anyway because the concept is absolute gold. My unit was reliable for about 6 months, during that time I absolutely loved nearly everything about it but unfortunately it broke down and I had to return it. My bass box and speakers suddenly stopped communicating which seems to be a common complaint. I haven't found anything like it and would like another but I'm not going to risk it until I know for sure that the reliability is fixed. Please, please Philips fix the reliability, I love this surround kit more than any other on the market and I'll absolutely be back to buy another. Nothing else needs to change but it would be even better if the display could be dimmed further or even extinguish completely and updating the HDMI would undoubtedly pull in more sales. Thank you

I purchased this E6 in Jan 17 worked fine for a year but now it keeps turning off and not playing. Software up to date went back to shop of purchase where it was working fine for it home again and same pRobles happened. For the price of the product it’s very dissapointing

They look beautiful in my lounge. The build quality is really nice, they look and feel solid. The detachable speakers are great, and they work really well. The surround field is nice and big, they're clear, and the bass is lovely and rich. The wireless subwoofer is very cool. Unfortunately the software is horrible, it's slow to respond when changing sources, the auto calibration fails randomly, the display is really not clear at all, hard to tell what mode the speakers are in. There's not a lot of stuff you can customise, like telling it to replicate the stereo signal on the surround speakers, basic things like that which most sound systems let you do. You can't switch modes, can't force it into or out of dolby pro logic, stuff like that. The mobile app is horrible and badly designed, like it was made by a programmer rather than a designer, it's clunky and obtuse. The updates are mystifying, they are incredibly infrequent and it doesn't tell you what has been updated. It feels like they put these out, they didn't do that great, so they've moved on to other speakers and aren't supporting these anymore.

A nice piece technology for in home audio and surroundsound. The satelite systems is great until the speakers batteries run empty in a few hours and the sub woofer also tends to fail often and not even connect. Nothing meant to be easy is truly easy. Definitely the case here.
