In anticipation of Hari Raya, Philips Malaysia recently collaborated with Chef Marina Mustafa for the Raya Bersama Chef Marina Mustafa cooking session, which showcased the versatility and ease of use of Philips’ range of kitchen appliances. During the session, Chef Marina prepared staple Hari Raya dishes like Rendang Tok, Lodeh, Ayam Percik, Lontong Daun Pisang and Seri Kaya Bakar in just under one hour, demonstrating the time-saving that can be achieved with Philips’ help.

Joining Chef Marina at the event were Nicholas John Lee, Vice President and General Manager for Philips ASEAN Pacific, Muhammad Ali Jaleel, Country Manager for Philips Malaysia and Wendy Ho, Head of Marketing for Philips Malaysia together with members of local Facebook Group Masak Apa Hari Ini (MAHN).

It is a great pleasure to see so many members from MAHN present. We know they love homecooked meals and are creative home cooks themselves, so we’re glad to offer this learning opportunity. We are also happy to have Chef Marina Mustafa, known for her Malaysian recipes, with us to share her favourite Raya recipes. Philips has worked with Chef Marina on a number of projects and she has always maintained the originality of her dishes without compromising the taste, while benefiting from the convenience of modern kitchen appliances.

He added: Some of these traditional recipes are time-consuming to cook and a local favourite like beef rendang can take up to four or five hours using conventional cooking to achieve optimal flavour and texture in the dish.
