Rated 1 out of 5 by Dewaldg1 Brilliant sound but poorly designed and constructed.
I have 4 pairs of the SHE 9755's only because 3 pairs broke due to bad construction within the first couple months of having them. I do love the sound and even when on full blast there little or no "noise" and distortion. Was lucky to find them quite cheap online but assuming due to the fact that they do not last very long. The built in microphone works well and controls compatible with IPod (Touch). Pity they are not as durable as leading in ear earphones on the market.

On first using these headphones the sound did not blow me away, but soon discovered I had not quite put them in right.
However after a little re-adjustment, the full well rounded sound that I had expected filled my ears. These have a strong bass, warm mid range and a crystal clear high end.
The volume and noise suppression is very good, I can have them at the lowest volume setting at work and they will block all the normal office background noise, but when going home I can crank up the volume and really enjoy my tunes.
I would have to say the noise from cable rustle could be quieter but, and this is a massive but. The headphones don’t have a bass port, so if you are active and want to uses these while running or cycling the wind noise is very minimal. How Philips have produced headphones comparable to the Bose in-ear with no bass port amazes me.
The buds are very comfortable and the strange gel coating does just add to the grip and the ‘you wouldn’t know they were there’ comfort. I frequently wear these all day and don’t get any ear ache.
The remote is not as small, neat, or as good looking as the apple one, but its larger size makes it easier to use, and the raised middle button allows you to find it easily.
My only real gripe is the fact that they have symmetrical leads, and my personal preference is asymmetrical. So I can wear one headphone with the other hanging round my neck, taking the weight off the headphone in my ear.
This is the only reason I gave these four stars and not five.
