Philips Malaysia Sdn Bhd kicked off its SimplyHealthy@Schools campaign by identifying 3 primary schools targeting students between the ages of 10 to 12. At each school, 3 classrooms were identified by the school where the relamping exercise was meant to help these students improve academically. The relamping exercise kicked off during the school holidays and hence followed by the official launching ceremony once school reopened. The launch ceremony took place at Assunta 1 Girl’s Primary School with the presence of ministers and directors from the Ministry Of Education and VIPs from NGOs amongst the teachers and students. The launch ceremony was officiated by Mr. Kaharudin Bin Mohd Yusuff who is the director of the communications department for the Petaling Jaya Education Department along with Mr. Lee Weng Seong, Chairman and CEO of Philips Malaysia Group of Companies. | “We are grateful that Philips has come to us with an interesting and beneficial program for the school and kids. The new lights do make a difference in brightness and also, students seem to be smiling more under these new lights. I’m really surprised by that.” |
