Sarawak Assistant Ministers and Ministers’ Wives Welfare Association purchases and donates medical supplies to hospital

(May 7, Kuching) Led by the wife of the Governor of Sarawak Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib, the Sarawak Assistant Ministers and Ministers’ Wives Welfare Association (SABATI) has handed over medical supplies worth RM30,000 to Sarawak General Hospital today.

 

These medical supplies include one unit of Philips Suresigns VM1 Pulse Oximeter and one unit of Philips Heartstart+Smart Biphasic Defibrillator.

 

President of Sarawak Assistant Ministers and Ministers’ Wives Welfare Association Dato Jamilah said at the hand over ceremony this afternoon that, since SABATI was established, it has  donating to Sarawak General Hospital and other departments, including charitable organisations like the Cheshire Home, Sarawak Yun Nan Shan Tang and Sarawak Society for the Blind.

 

She said, the association will  visit various charity homes during festive seasons to celebrate with them. SABATI had plan to visit the Cheshire Home this coming Gawai Festival to donate festive gifts.

 

Meanwhile, Director of Sarawak General Hospital Dr Chin Zing Hing thanked SABATI in his speech for its generous contribution, he said the medical supplies donated by SABATI can help raise the medical standard of the hospital, so that the patients can receive better treatment.
